CARE Bangladesh invites applications from qualified candidates for Avian Influenza Community Based Surveillance (CDC) project for the following positions, on contract up-to September 14, 2009, which may be extended

Key Responsibility :
  • Effective project planning and ensure implementation of plan.
  • Performance Management and field activities
  • Communication and networking
  • Monitoring, reporting writing and documentation
  • Coordinate field activities in order to execute project objectives.
Core Qualifications and Competencies: :
  • Masters in Social Science or equivalent discipline. Veterinary Science/Animal Husbandry/ MBBS or Master's in Public Health are encouraged to apply.
  • Has practical experience on project implementation cycle management; from planning to evaluation
  • Experiences on participatory project implementation is desirable
  • Experiences on operation research will get preferences
  • Relevant experiences in surveillance especially knowledge on infectious diseases in poultry/human will get preference
  • Working experiences with GOB concerns, local government authorities, CBOs especially with poultry/livestock/disasters management
  • At least 5 years experience including, 3 years direct supervision of field based project implementation and 2-3 years in relevant fields in surveillance and or any behavior change communication program/information exchange program
  • Ability to operate MS office and Bangla
  • Can work under pressure and in team

Compensation: Gross Salary for the position is approximately Tk 45,000.00 per month, plus other admissible benefits as per organizational policy.
